The quote describes it all.

I know many of you hate reading books. I too was not interested in reading books rather than my academics because academic books had an end goal to meet and that was to get good marks in the exams.

It means I never read to understand.

But I want to show you all a different path where you will be picking up books without forcing yourself. You can’t stop reading. The bucket list of yours will be always full.

When I read my first book, enrichment begins within by Rahul and Saurabh Bhatnagar. Everything goes from above my head. Still, I completed the book but with no understanding at all.

I become frustrated, and quit reading books for long.

Then, again after few months I took another book the - rich dad and poor dad by Robert Kiyosaki. That book took my attention and it was the first book I love reading.

Yet the understanding was less but I enjoyed reading because it was aligned with my goal of becoming a millionaire. Funny right.

That’s how it begins.

Why reading is important than other form of absorbing the knowledge?

Reading is the most basic and fundamental level of absorbing the information’s. It has lots of benefits like increasing your - concentration, awareness, focus, imagination, and sharping your memory.

Besides, there is no external noise like someone’s voice, & face. You’re all in and your attention is completely towards it.

Reading is how you gain the information in depth. The processing of the information in your head is knowledge. The applied knowledge is skill. The skill helps you to move the lever in the real world.

Now the question is -

How to Love READING?

You need an end goal, to love reading.

The goal that serves your dream, vision, and mission.

For example; you want to become a millionaire. So, millionaire is the end goal for you and now you must select the books that serves that goal. Your mind will absorb the best possible information to accomplish your goal.

This is how you never get bore of reading books until there is a greater cause to act.

There’s a quote from naval Ravikanth;

His quote says that - start reading by what interests you, till the point where you realized that reading is an important skill. Then read what’s important to you. That’s how I interpret it.

It is the base for all your foundation of knowledge and thinking.

But as per my experience what I found was that if you think of reading the books only to satisfy that dopamine cranks in your head than it’s useless. I see many of my friends reading manga (comics, anime) which is not taking them anywhere.

Maybe they’re learning the art of storytelling, philosophy, dialogues, vocabulary, and other skills by reading those books but isn’t the same watching Netflix and enjoying.

So, the best way to put it is – “you must associate your readings with a goal.”

Suppose you want to become an anime artist, manga writer, or character designer, then reading becomes 10x more valuable and you become more productive. I bet you read to move towards the next level, like you do while playing games.

It’s like directing your actions (reading) to build your dream life.

The Next Part is -

How to Read to Maximize Your Productivity?

I always had a question, like how many books should I read? Can I read more and more, & grab as much information as possible.

Many people read only one book at a time so that they can squeeze everything out of that book. That’s a way of reading books but I don’t prefer reading in that manner anymore.

I used to study only one book, but after starting to read three books a day, I become more productive than before. Also, reading becomes more interesting then.

You take 3 books to improve the basic pillars of life. They are health, wealth, spirituality, relationship. All your problems revolve around these three pillars.

Let’s understand the reason behind reading three books at a time. It’s simple –

-            You never feel bored

-            Your perspective broadens

-            You’re balancing the overall aspects of life

-            You connect one dot with another

-            You learn faster than before

-            You’re more consistent

Everyone has a doubt of information over loading here, but don’t worry your brain make sense of the information in the later phase of the life.

It’s not possible that you understand everything in one go. You must be patience enough to the point where your brain make sense and that aha moment hits you.

That’s when you feel happy and fulfilled.

Steal my personal structure of reading for max benefit:

1.         1 Deep/Challenging Book – e.g., philosophy, science, or history.

2.        1 Practical/Self-Improvement Book – e.g., entrepreneurship, productivity, or fitness.

3.        1 Light/Fictional Book – to relax and refresh your mind.

This structure is not a beginner friendly. So, for beginners I suggest to start with one book. Then gradually apply it to maximize the returns.

POST READ:

Start reading at least one book. Don’t worry about your interest, goals, & vision, initially. Read that book and see how you feel. Now take a book whose every word empowers you to change. When you want to read every page of that book, that’s when you can say that you have found the book of your interest. Until then follow the trial and experimentation process.

How would you rate the future’s letter? Some suggestion would be a great help for me. If you haven’t subscribe yet then do it. You can text me here:
