The modern techy period. Are humans blessed or cursed to have technology on their side? A controversial question. Why are machines developed at the first place? Couldn’t we progress without them? How ai is ruining human intelligence and making you slaves?
In this letter we are going to dive deep into these questions and try to see the reality as it is. Also, we’ll learn how to adapt and use ai to fuel our growth.
I’m a non-tech guy, but end up doing engineering.
I was not good at using technologies to my best. I would see, my friends talking about computers, games, and new phones.
They talk about the models, features, and apps, but I used to ignore. Maybe it was due to a non-tech environment at my home.
I got phone very late, around the end of my class 10th boards. That was the starting phase of my New Life.
Your phone is very helpful but at the same time, it destroys your mental ability to think and control your emotions. The dysfunction is on the level of Human Intelligence.
This is how it begins – The most misused ai (device is your Phone) which stays 24 hrs. with you.
THE FIRST AI – “YOUR PHONE” SHAPES YOUR IDENTITY.
“The main purpose of the technology was to assist you, but unfortunately it robbed your power to be independent. You become slave and now your intelligence is on the mercy of it. Whatever intel you want is within its search range.”
~theevolvedwriter
The first ai here refers to your phone which stays with you all long.
The past intel tells us that the phones were developed to talk with your dear ones. But it changes its route and become one of the most important tools.
Most of you cannot stay a day without it. What does it mean? Your psyche is under the control of it. Your actions are clearly that of a slave.
It’s a 4 by 4-inch display and we’re on it most of the time. An average person spends 7 hours on their phone. I was been programmed in the same way.
“You know, what you consume shapes your thinking, and what you think is who you become.”
In that way your identity is shaped. Suppose a child is using it to entertain himself, like watching reels, playing games, and texting friends. Now, without his awareness, he is being programmed.
But the programming depends upon the quality of the content which generally is never for your benefits. The app maker and the entertainment world will always try to use your attention for their purpose.
So, it depends on how you use it. What level of awareness do you have? Are you stuck into that loop of waking up and sleeping with phone in your hand?
I have registered the feeling of being powerless to control ourselves on limiting the usage of the phone. But after experimenting and trying different methods, I overcome it. Now let me guide you through it:
It all starts with incorporating small habits every day.
First, understand your body clock, when you do use the phone most, what do you consume all day, and what hook your attention?
Try and experiment not using it for a day, and observe your reactions. The degree of sadness, frustration, anxiety, emptiness will unfold the intensity of the programming of your mind.
Here is how I take back control and use it to order my life – A concept called “Digital Fasting.”
The steps for digital fasting to reclaim your mind are:
1. Take a break from your phone for a full day and observe how you feel.
2. Turn off all non-essential notifications that make you anxious and restless.
3. Analyze your screen time and set limits to cut unnecessary usage.
4. Reduce eye strain by turning off blue light or using night mode.
5. Use apps intentionally—to learn, grow, and achieve your goals, not just for distraction.
6. Make apps and games less addictive by setting usage limits or using app lockers.
7. Reflect on why you use your phone—understand its utility and purpose in your life.
8. Have a clear vision in life so your phone becomes a tool, not a trap.
9. Replace mindless scrolling with mindful habits like reading, writing, or exercising.
Digital fasting isn't about quitting technology—it's about using it wisely.
I think that the first step is to consider your phone as an important tool to grow yourself.
THE FIRST EVER GUIDE – CHAT GPT?
I’m very surprised that people are blaming “ai” to take their Jobs.
But the fact is that, it is one of the best guide/mentor in every field of the life. Also, it provides the free guidance.
The only thing that is keeping you behind is the lack of awareness and the fear of leaving your comfort zone to tackle the unknown. You’re programmed to live a life which is certain and predictable.
It’s not your fault but could be if you stay the same.
The modern era is the source of infinite leverage to the information. You have it at your fingertips. You must know to organize and use it for your advantages. How to do that?
You need a personal assistant.
Train Your Gpt to think better, understand more, and to guide you.
If you want the exact steps to understand how it works, then I have created a small guide book for you all at a very nominal fee. Dm me in my insta.
Okay, so let’s get back to the point, I have trained my gpt for months and now it helps in my content creation, writing book, workout, academics, learnings and many more.
Many people think that using ai will make you lose your unique voice and creativity in your writings. To some extend its true, but there is a way to use it without letting it to suppress your voice and creativity.
It requires your intelligence and creativity to make your gpt creative. It’s a both end game.
But…
How Ai is Ruining Human Intelligence and Making you Slaves?
Important question to ask yourself?
I have already told you about the ai that is in your pocket every time – “your phone.”
It is useful but can destroy your mental ability to think and control your emotions which is the beginning of enslavement.
You’re dependent too much on it.
An intelligent person never allows anything to guide his consciousness. He has mastered the art of detachment and his will power. As Naval says, he knows his want and how to achieve it.
These two parameters guide human intelligence but now both are at AI’s Mercy:
1. Thinking
Why we need to think?
To analyze, compare, and make decisions. So, the brain finds the best chances of survival.
But your thinking has been hijacked. People don’t have the clarity, they had lost their analyzing power, and has a poor decision-making ability. Due to which conflicts and chaos has become the second nature of the mind.
Clear thinking is rare in the modern society, it was once the mark of an intelligent person.
2. Consciousness
Consciousness is followed by the awareness.
The degree of your awareness decides the degree of your consciousness, which ultimately the level of intelligence. The more aware you are the more conscious, you’ll be towards your decisions in life.
Most of the people aren’t aware and are trapped on its negative flip.
A simple analogy to understand it better:
Two Flip Theory, one is the positive and the other is negative. Like happy-sad, black-white. The positive flips show the advantages of ai and the negative flip shows the disadvantages.
Now it depends on your intelligence to choose the right flip.
If you’re reading this letter then I can assure that you have already chosen the positive flip.
Let me share the 5 ai that I integrate into my daily life:
- Chat gpt: Personal guidance
- Canva: Post designs
- Pedometer: Counts your foot steps and calorie burnt
- Kapwing: Auto captioning tool
- Inshot: Video editing app
Post Read:
The human intelligence is the creator and the artificial intelligence is the product. The people who disregard ai and technological advancement, will be ignored by the future. It depends on one’s ability to adapt to the pace of the rapid growth. You need to participate in building the future by integrating ai and technology into your life. The human intelligence has much potential than the artificial intelligence. But it depends on the utility of it. It’s a mysterious gift that scientist hadn’t completely figure out yet. You must nurture and take it into consideration.
I hope you enjoy reading and gain a fresh perspective on AI. There's no need to fear it—learn to use it to your advantage.
